FALL 2016

PRESCHOOLERS - AGES 3-5

SEssion 1: MOndays 1:00-2:00                                    4 WEEKS, SEPT 12 - OCT 3  $99

 

Theater is a great way to develop social skills, enhance early literacy, build confidence and nurture creativity in young learners. In this class children will have fun with music and games while also exploring favorite stories, develop characters and create their own reenactment of classic stories.  The class will also include crafts and costumes!

FALL Intensive, Ages 7-18 :

TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS, 3:30-6:00pm $185 month for 3 months

WEDNESDAYS 4:00-5:30pm  $229  Six weeks

SEPTEMBER 14 - October 19

Audition pieces, songs within musicals and cabaret numbers all tell stories and communicate character to the audience. This class will focus on techniques for character development through song. Participants are encouraged to bring in a song they are singing for a show, or for a future audition. The class will cover close reading of lyrics, analysis of the musical ”clues” within a number, and acting techniques that help singers through difficult vocal moments in a song. Session will end with a small recital/musical review.

SEPTEMBER 16 -October 21

This class will focus on a wide range of topics to help prepare young performers as they further hone their skills for a lifetime of performance. We will explore elements of theatre history, acting techniques, improvisation, building an audition repertoire, stage combat and more.

MondaYS 4:00-5:30 $229 SIX WEEKS

SEPTEMBER 12-OCTOBER 24 (NO CLASS OCTOBER 10)

Learn the technical side of acting in front of the camera, understand angles, distance, and performance techniques specific to film.  Students will work on-camera with copy that is provided and have the opportunity to review their work, receive feedback, and expand on the tools in their acting toolbox.  Students will receive a short reel of their work.

THURSDAYS 6:15-7:15 $149.00 SIX WEEKS

SEPTEMBER 15-OCTOBER 20

This is the perfect class for the young actor or first time performer. Through game play and fun exercises, students will learn a variety of acting strategies and essential skills for stage, all while exploring story and character. In addition, students will be exposed to many aspects of stage performance and gain an understanding of theater terminology.

WEDNESDAYS 5:45-6:45PM  $149  SIX WEEKS

SEPTEMBER 14 - OCTOBER 19

Learn the freedom of acting without a net, while expanding on your creativity, relying on your natural instincts and just plain having fun! Improv develops flexibility in performance and teaches students to work from the top of their brains, while trusting their fellow performers and working in agreement with cast mates.   Students will enjoy games and exercises similar to what is seen amongst top sketch and comedic improv troops.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 26th   10:00am-1:00pm  $79

Get ready for fall auditions with this essential  workshop.  Learn skills to help you deliver your best audition.  Improve cold reading skills and develop strategies to approach new text with confidence. Learn how to put your best foot forward so that you shine in the audition room and can let go of nerves, doubts and feelings of rejection. You may come with a prepared monologue and/or song if you'd like to receive constructive feedback and coaching.

SESSION 1: SATURDAY SEPT 10th 10:00am-1:00pm $99

SESSION 2: SATURDAY SEPT 24th 10:00am-1:00pm $99 

This workshop is a MUST for any high school student considering entering college as a theater major. We will cover the differences between BA and BFA programs, school selection, monologue selection, preparedness and more. This is a very limited seating workshop for serious acting students. Much personal attention will be given and all participants will have the opportunity to have a mock audition with industry professionals, who will provide feedback.
