Our most popular adult class is an ideal setting for those with an interest in acting, and perhaps even some performance experience, but little or no training. Students will gain a clear understanding of the acting craft, learning what to do and what to avoid, while developing skills onstage and off. INSTRUCTOR: Cie Peterson
This workshop is perfect for those interested in trying their hand as a director for the first time, as well as for amateur directors with some prior experience, such as community theater or working at high schools, who wish to advance their skills. INSTRUCTOR: Cie Peterson
Actors cannot exchange in scene study often enough! It is the perfect vehicle for honing skills that include analyzing text, developing and pursuing objectives, raising the stakes, staying focused in the moment, and connecting to one's character and scene partner. INSTRUCTOR: Cie Peterson
Character work is a technique often overlooked, but training programs like The Groundlings rely most entirely on it to cultivate some of the best performers working today. Spend a few weeks this summer experimenting with ways to create memorable and distinct characters you'll have fun playing. INSTRUCTOR: Cie Peterson
Participants will learn how to work with various kinds of copy, develop confidence in front of a microphone, explore the many different ways in which voiceover artists can earn a living, and gain insight into the voiceover business at large. INSTRUCTOR: Cie Peterson
NEXT MEETINGS: AUGUST 18th and SEPTEMBER 1st
This event is only $5. Come and join us for an informal get together. We will meet other adults who’ve always wanted to try their hand or others who want an opportunity to get back into or practice their skills.
